1. Small Group Leaders' Meeting on 12 November 2011
Dear fellow leaders,
I pray that you and your Small Groups have been walking closely with the Lord. It has been a while since we have last met, it is time for us to reconnect.
We would like to invite all of you to meet on Saturday, 12 Nov 2011 from 10am - 1pm (including lunch). The meeting will be held in the Upper Room. The purpose of these meetings are 3-fold:
A. For the church to connect with you.
Pastor Dianna will be there to share with us her thoughts on the role of SGs and SGLs in TMC. Hence we urge everyone to make a special effort to ensure that you can attend. If there are potential SGLs in your group, bring them along too so they may hear and be plugged in too.
B. For you to connect with each other.
Although our groups may individually be very different, we are all servants of the one true Shepherd who has called us to lead the flock at TMC. We will spend some time sharing with and praying for one another and our groups. From this, the SGM comm will want to discover how the church can better support you in leading your groups. This also helps us to be more intentional and targeted in planning for future meetings.
C. For us to know how our groups can connect with others.
Service is an important aspect of Small Group life, and we as mini-shepherds need to know how our Great Shepherd is moving among the various ministries of the church so we may meaningfully participate together with them. For this meeting, our Outreach and Social Concerns (OSC) ministry will be there to explain to us the needs and opportunities where SGs can share in the work.
Going forward, it is our desire to continue such meetings on a quarterly basis. The broad objectives and purpose will be unchanged, as these connections that we are trying to develop must be continually maintained.
Do respond to confirm your attendance by 23 Oct (Sat) to Sue Yien (sueyien@gmail.com) and if you are able to join for lunch.
